KANYAKUMARI: V Vijaya Kumar alias Vijay Vasanth of the Indian Nationwide Congress has established a lead via 1,17,099 votes over his nearest rival Pon Radhakrishnan of the Bharatiya Janata Birthday party (BJP).
Of the 7,72,520 votes counted until the nineteenth spherical, the 37-year-old businessman secured 4,15,167 votes whilst the two-time Union minister secured 2,98,068 votes.
Vijayakumar established an enormous lead over Radhakrishnan from the primary spherical.
With a couple of extra rounds to move, Vijayakumar is at the verge of succeeding his father overdue H Vasanthakumar as Kanyakumari MP.
Naam Tamilar Katchi candidate R Anetter Allwyn with 41,485 votes secured the 3rd place whilst C H Shuba of the Makkal Neethi Maiam used to be within the fourth spot with 5,900 votes.
